Purpose of the Position:
Currently, we have a 32 and a 20 megawatt farm, a 6 megawatt roof-top , two 3.5 megawatt roof-tops, a 1 megawatt development rising to 20 megawatts, and a further 20 megawatt project. All these are to be delivered in the next 8-months, with more development projects to follow.
The Delivery Director will oversee these projects (and others), as well as building and leading the project management team, while delivering on multiple projects across Gauteng and W Cape.
As the Delivery Director, you’ll oversee and manage all aspects of delivery and programme management, including:
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Responsible for the delivery of projects to quality spec’, on time and to budget.
- Delivery Process: Managing and oversight of all aspects of the delivery process across all projects.
- Leadership & Management: Responsible for a team of project managers delivering on multiple projects, across Gauteng and W Cape.
- Vendor Management: Manage our EPC contractors, who each have projects to deliver, as well as any other vendors involved in our project delivery.
- Design Drawing: Help prepare the design drawing for the upcoming projects.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Education: Matric (Grade 12) required.
- Preferred Education: A tertiary qualification in a related field is preferred. However, relevant experience will be considered.
- Work Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Industry Experience: Infrastructure / construction project experience in solar and renewable is helpful. However, we’re open to a broad range of industry experience, including: leading shop fit-outs of large corporate facilities; multinational hotel facility or construction delivery; or similar senior project delivery.
- Project Delivery: Proven track record in getting work and projects done to spec’, on time, and to budget.
- Multi-Million Rand Projects: Experience of the delivery projects upwards from R50 million and, ideally, from R400million to a billion Rand upwards.
- Site Environment Expertise: You’ll understand the site environment, when building infrastructure, and be able to manage vendors and others involved in project delivery.
- Delivery Process Expertise: Understand the details of the delivery process (and will get into those details, when required).

- Negotiating & Stakeholder Management: Reaching agreements with various stakeholders, whether one-on-one or multiple parties, while maintaining personable interactions and still delivering on KPIs.
- Result-Oriented: Maintaining disciplined focus on delivering KPIs (including milestones, budget, and quality standards).

- Articulacy & Writing: Must be articulate in speech and writing. Writing well and engagingly, including writing good letters and emails, is a key competency. For example, comfortable writing CEOs and vendors; as well as instructing lawyers on the basis of a commercial agreement with a client.
