Mark Shorrock – Founder & CEO – Mark with his experience of over 20 years in development, permitting and building of nearly 100 renewable energy projects in UK, Spain and Vietnam, has relocated to South Africa to lead Mpuma Power.
Jason Smith – Head of Business Development – South Africa’s leading rugby agent, switching careers to bring his network of corporate decision makers to work for us. Jason manages a sales network that includes ten business development specialists across the Commercial & Industrial (C&I), mining, agriculture and property sectors.
Brenda Wardall – Operations & Marketing – With her combination of people and organisational skills, Brenda brings creativity and experience from a background in a variety of industries including finance, e-commerce and retail property management and joined Mpuma Power in 2023.
Mark Gordon – Head of Permitting – Formerly DDG of the Department of Environmental Affairs, Mark was responsible for permitting most of the original solar and wind farms in SA, he wrote much of the original renewable energy enabling legislation and frameworks in South Africa. He acted as a climate negotiator for South Africa and built South Africa’s first scale solar plant.
Qui Vo – Head of Design & Engineering – Qui has overseen the design and build of every Southeast Asian solar project Mark has developed.
Rahsaan Arscott – Grid Connection Manager – An Ekurhuleni focused developer. He is one of the most experienced Southern African developers of renewable energy. Rahsaan was a technical advisor for the Department of Energy in the REIPP bid rounds as well as an advisor to Eskom.
As Eskom continues to struggle to supply sufficient power to meet demand, the ongoing load shedding is forcing businesses to rapidly consider alternative electricity supply sources.
To address the power need, Mark Shorrock, with 20 years of experience and over 90 projects completed, has set up Mpuma Power in South Africa to develop renewable energy projects.
