UK Wind & Solar Farm Focus Points
Westmill Solar Park – 5MW
In the UK, Mark created with landowner Adam Twine, the UK’s first and world’s largest co-operatively run, community owned solar farm located near to Watchfield, on the Wiltshire/Oxfordshire border.
The site consists of 30 acres. Over 20,000 polycrystalline PV panels.
West Raynham – 49.9MW
Mark lead the development of what in 2015 was England’s largest solar farm, RAF West Raynham Solar PV Park. It is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 225 acres.
The project generates 48,153MWh electricity per annum and supplies enough clean energy to power 14,000 households, offsetting 21,460t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Rose Cottage – 28MW
Mark lead the development of the largest solar farm in Wales, Rose Cottage Solar PV Park. It is a 28MW solar PV power project.
The project is currently active and was developed in a single phase.
Pioneering Industrial Partnerships
In the UK Mark pioneered partnerships with industrial facilities, locating solar and or wind parks adjacent to industrial users on farming land or disused or degraded land adjacent to the industrial facilities. This included facilities for Imerys, South West Water and adjacent to the UK’s largest oil refinery.
Kernick & Threhosa – 13MW
Manor Farm – 5MW
Portworthy – 11MW
Vietnam Commercial & Industrial Rooftops Focus Points
Vietnam Commercial & Industrial Rooftops Focus Points
In Vietnam, Mark created a rooftop commercial and industrial solar business. The map overleaf shows the project locations and MWp of the first phase of projects.
Having built a good track record in country, Mark’s Vietnamese business began to win larger scale customers, including Adidas’s no. 1 global supplier Hwaseung, winning a contract to build own and operate solar facilities on 18 of Hwaseung factories.
